Camp Communication

"Y’all are wonderful and we are so thankful that the kids are in such great hands and having this experience."
-Gabriella C.

We believe clear communication is good leadership. It can make all the difference in setting up a camper for a positive, smooth experience (as well as for the adults!).

Follow us on Instagram @campwildfolk to stay in the loop!

During camp seasons, we share daily reminders for what is happening at camp and anything special you might need to pack. Plus, little glimpses into the camp day! During off-season, we share memories, discount reminders, and snaps at our HQ team preparing for campers to return.

The Week Before Your Session Starts

  • Tuesday- The Wildfolk Weekly email newsletter

    • provides a full session overview including themes, dress-up, what to pack/expect, etc.

    • attached is the Family Handbook that outlines all the details about camp (very helpful for a first timer, but also policies and procedures that are important for ALL camp fams to know!)

  • Tuesday- Team Assignment email

    • get to know a little about your child's Camp Guides, team name, + the team culture (please note your child's team each session-- it'll make finding their check-in table easier on Monday!)

  • Wednesday- Reminder to Order Snack + Lunch for next week (deadline=Thursday)

  • Saturday- Check-in Reminders for 1st Day of Session

    • most sessions have "walk-up" check-in on the first day of each session, where Caregivers will park and walk their child to the table. Some campuses have a Camp Guide from each team available for a quick review of info.

During the Camp Session

  • Monday- Reminders for rest of week

    • reminders for themes + dress-up the rest of the week, any special activities coming up, and assurance that any first-day snags should ease quickly! We always let campers re-confirm their Elective choices on the second day, so no need to worry/contact us if they changed their mind.

  • Last Friday- Private Photo Albums, Feedback requests, & links to camper-created digital content

  • As-Needed Check-ins

    • our HQ Coordinator will send an email for any non-urgent injuries that might occur during camp (minor scrapes or knocks).

    • the Camp Director or Team Leadership Coordinator (TLC) will contact you via phone for any injury more serious in nature, or serious incident between campers

What Folks Are Sayin...

Julia F.

She is grounded and happy when she is with you and your team and it’s just so nice to see her relax and have real fun!”

My kids all LOVED Wildfolk.  The counselors were fabulous and the activities were great.  Each of my kids came home at the end of each day (and the end of the summer) raving about what they had done.  It has a small, homey feel and the kids really feel like they have ownership over the activities and it is truly focused on them and their needs.  I highly recommend it

Erica C.

The counselors really made a beautiful impression on my children, and I'm grateful for the warm and friendly atmosphere that kept them safe, happy, and having the summer camp experience I'd hoped for them
