Fall Camp FAQs
The ABC's of Camp Wildfolk
ALLERGIES
Our Leadership staff are First Aid/CPR certified and trained in Epi-Pen administration. We are vigilant about checking for camper’s allergies and alerting Caregivers in advance if we will be providing any special treats at camp.
If your child has allergies, this will be noted on your application and we encourage you to touch base with your child’s Guide on the first day with a little information (what to look out for, etc). Our staff check-in with campers at Snack & Lunch to take little peaks at what the kids are eating and staying alert if anyone has a risky item.
If your child requires medicine to be administered during the camp day, please contact our office in advance to discuss.
ABSENCES
We do not refund, credit, or prorate for missed days of camp, including for illness, since our staffing and prep are based on expected enrollment. If you're worried about needing to miss a day, consider a Camp Protection Plan (see below).
Behavior & safety expectations
Campers are expected to keep themselves and others safe, stay with their assigned group, follow staff direction, and use safe hands and appropriate language. Repeated or unsafe behavior can result in a move to an alternate group, temporary or permanent removal (without refund), or a requirement that a family-provided, trained 1:1 Behavioral Aide accompany the camper. Immediate removal applies for bringing dangerous/illegal items, knowing use of hate speech, or causing serious intentional harm.
BUDDIES
During registration, there is a "Buddy Request" Form that can be used to share buddy requests.
A camper may request one friend (same grade) to group with. Buddy requests are not guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate requests that are timely. The closer it gets to the start of summer, the more challenging it is for us to accommodate buddy requests, as some groups will fill-up.
Keep in mind, Caregivers of both friends must request each other at the time of registration.
We also believe that part of a great summer camp experience is meeting new friends and forming new friendships. Our camp provides a variety of camp activities and a variety of camper groupings throughout the camp day in order to encourage new friendships. This helps bond our campers as a whole camp community.
CAMP APPROACH
Camp Wildfolk is a project-based, child-centered, growth-focused day camp for Pre-K through 11th graders — old-school camp spirit combined with a modern, progressive approach built around Growth Mindset and Project-Based Learning (PBL). Learn more under "The Wildfolk Way."
CAMP Location
Fall Mini-Camp 2026 runs at Wildfolk East Valley (hosted at Adat Ari El), 12020 Burbank Blvd., Valley Village, CA 91607
CAMP Protection plans
Optional, purchased at registration, by session:
• Essentials Plan ($50/session): tuition credit for a missed session if we're notified before day one of that session.
• Flexibility Plan ($90/session): full tuition refund (minus the registration fee) if notified before day one; for a mid-session illness, a credit of $40 per remaining camp day. Credits from either plan expire September 1, 2027.
CAMP Schedule
Regular hours are drop-off 9:00–9:30am and pick-up 2:30–3:00pm. Cozy Camp and Makers Camps use a large multipurpose room divided into activity zones, with some activities — including eating — in an outdoor, covered courtyard.
Dates & Programs
Fall Mini-Camp 2026 runs November 23–25, 2026. Programs include Clay Makers, Escape Room Makers, Tinker Explorers, Young Folks Cozy Camp, Crafty Explorers, and a single-day Wacky Wednesday special.
DISCOUNTS
Early discount codes must be applied in the promo code box at the time of registration — we can't apply them retroactively. Discounts don't apply to Pay-by-Day registrations.
DROP-OFF + PICK-UP
Regular drop-off is 9:00–9:30am, pick-up is 2:30–3:00pm, through the Camp Carline. On the first day, please park and walk up to the Check-In tables; after that, swift drop-off is available in the designated car lanes. Don't forget your camper's authorization code at pick-up.
FOOD AT CAMP
Our East Valley campus is a Kosher campus: all food, packed or purchased, must be vegetarian — no meat or shellfish (dairy and non-shellfish fish like salmon or tuna are fine). No peanuts. Optional Wildfolk Snack Bar and Andres Kosher Lunch service can be ordered in advance through the Family Portal — order by the Thursday before your session. Lunches include a vegetarian option and are not made with nuts.
MEDICATIONS
Any medications your camper needs (or has stopped taking) must be noted on their Health Form. Staff won't administer medication, including Tylenol or Benadryl, without documented consent, and will call before giving any camper-specific dose. Contact us before registering if your child needs help administering medication at camp.
POTTY PROFICIENCY
Our Young Folks program starts at age 4 and requires campers be potty proficient. Repeated potty accidents (3+ in one session) may result in removal from the program — our campus and staff aren't equipped to handle ongoing accidents.
RATIOS
We keep low ratios at camp so that our Guides and staff can be really present to our campers needs. The range below is our "typical" ratio - "max" ratio for that age group
Young Folks (TK + Kinder): 4:1- 7:1 1st-2nd: 7:1- 10:1 3rd+: 7:1- 12:1
REGISTRATION & Payment
A $20 non-refundable registration fee is charged per camper. Full payment is due by November 1st; installment plans are available if you register early. Cancellations: in September, $50/week is non-refundable; in October, $75/week. After November 1st, no refunds are available, though a partial Wildfolk credit applies if you cancel 5+ days before your session starts (full details in our Registration Policies).
Restroom safety
Campers use a buddy system for restroom trips; younger campers are also escorted by a Guide. Each campus has a single-stall, gender-neutral restroom
SECURITY
Our Valley camp has a full security team provided by Adat Ari El. Families show the security guard our Wildfolk Security Slip on arrival.
When picking up, our staff will ask for the child's authorization code. This is a special code you create during registration.

SESSION SWITCHING
After November 1st, we'll try to accommodate switching sessions as space allows, with a $30 change fee.
SICKNESS
Please keep your camper home with any illness symptoms (fever, cough, vomiting, pink eye, etc.). They must be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine before returning. Campers who develop symptoms at camp are picked up immediately and need a doctor's clearance to return. We don't offer refunds, credits, or make-up days for illness-related absences — a Camp Protection Plan can help offset this.
Special support
Many campers attend safely with or without a 1:1 Aide, depending on need. Please contact us before registering so we can talk through your child's needs and whether camp will be a good fit. If a child receives support at school, we expect the same level of support to be provided at camp — families arrange and provide a qualified, trained Aide, and our staff can't coach or instruct Aides directly.
TEAMS/GROUPS
Campers are grouped in co-ed groups, by grade they are entering in the Fall. Sometimes we'll have multiple Teams for one grade level (buddy requests are helpful here if that is important to you.. see above for details).
Young Folks is for campers Pre-Kinder, TK, and Kinder (ages 4+) and operates on a slightly altered schedule (to give our young campers more developmentally appropriate activities).
Teams are a homebase for our campers, but they will have opportunities to do mixed-age elective activities, too. This allows campers to meet other children with similar interests. Some advanced activities are only open to campers in certain grades.

WILDBUNCH EXTENDED OPTIONS
Wildbunch AM (8:00–9:00am) is $30 pre-registered / $15 drop-in.
Wildbunch PM Happy Hour (3:00–4:00pm) is $30.
Wildbunch PM (3:00–5:30pm) is $60.
Campers not picked up by 3:05pm are automatically checked into Wildbunch PM and a fee applies. Late pick-up after 5:30pm is $10 per 10 minutes (or fraction of).
