Guides

What's a Camp Guide?  Kinda like a hybrid of an Activity Instructor & a Camp Counselor. Camp Guides both oversee a camper group and lead Elective classes.

Guides are truly the backbone of Camp. They're the reason our campers LOVE Wildfolk. We hire super-special youth development pros.

Guides are assigned with a Co-Guide, to a lead and support a group of campers called Teams. Teams are little communities- your group to create traditions with, to cheer with, to support in forming peer connections, etc.

Guides also lead Electives during up to 3 activity rotations: movement, innovation, and creativity. If there's a rotation you aren't leading an elective, you'll be assigned to support camper management while another Guide leads their Elective.

Guides must have prior experience working with kids, in or outside of the classroom. They should be comfortable leading large groups and organizing/ planning activities.

Teaching credential a plus!

Regular Guide Hours are 8:20am-3:05pm (early start on Mondays and a few later-stays for staff meetings)

Optional additional hours available to work Extended Day program.

Positions available at both West Hollywood and Valley camps
